Inspired by her travels to the Mediterranean, the client wanted her front garden and driveway entrance to capture the warmth, elegance, and timeless character of the region. As a special birthday gift, her family gave her a mature olive tree, which she wanted to feature prominently as the heart of the design, creating both a personal and visual focal point.
The transformation combines structure, texture, and planting to create a sophisticated, welcoming first impression. Terracotta paving provides a warm, elegant foundation across the garden and driveway.
Italian cypress trees are thoughtfully placed to divide and define the garden, creating subtle zones that add rhythm and formality without feeling enclosed. Decorative stone is paired with terracotta surfaces to introduce material contrast, adding depth and refinement to the layout.
At the heart of the garden, the olive tree takes centre stage alongside a sculptural bowl water feature, bringing movement, tranquillity, and a sense of permanence. Mediterranean-inspired planting, blending evergreens and seasonal blooms, softens the structured elements and introduces colour, texture, and seasonal interest throughout the year.
The result is a front garden that balances elegance and function, creating a memorable, curated arrival while celebrating the client’s personal story and love of Mediterranean design.
